Steve "That DJ Guy" Willett is the same DJ-guy that has been waking up the Southern Tier for over 9 years. First with STAR 105.7, now part of the 99-1 the Whale's with Steve, Kathy & Big Wally.
 I like to take that crazy on-air persona and apply it to every party I host.

My mobile DJ career began during the late 70s in the Washington D.C. area. I started in high school DJing school events and church functions. By 1983 I was hosting weddings and spinning in the D.C. area nightclubs.

As my radio career took me to Altoona, Pennsylvania and Glens Falls, New York, my record collection wasn't far behind. In fact I met my wife Brenda in the late 80s, while spinning records in Altoona's hottest dance club, Ciscos.

By the early 90s, I was part of a mobile DJ service operated by Long Island Frank. I was spinning records in many of Glens Falls hottest clubs, plus I was hosting at least one wedding a weekend. By this time I had mastered the art of hosting wedding parties and found myself getting gig requests through word-of-mouth.

When I moved to Binghamton in 1994 to co-host the STAR 105.7 morning show, I decided it was time to have my own mobile DJ service. I invested in a small state-of-the-art mobile dj unit. With the addition of hosting the Holiday Inn Arena's "Party on the Patio" came a larger sound system plus a light show. Now everything was complete, a 3400 watt sound system and full light show.

Among my faithful clients are Jennie F. Snapp Middle School, the United States Amateur Ballroom Dance Association, Cornell Ballroom Dance Club in Ithaca and Pam Gray Catering.

I also host weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, retirement parties, 50th Anniversary parties, corporate Christmas parties, nightclubs and more. Among school dances there's Binghamton High School, Jennie F. Snapp Middle School, Newark Valley High School, Seton Catholic School, Vestal High School, Walton High School, Greene Middle School, Unateego High School, Blue Ridge High School, Blue Ridge Middle School, Johnson City High School, Vestal Middle School, East Middle School, St. Patricks Academy, Towanda Middle School, George H. Nichols Elementary School, George F. Johnson Elementary School, Glenwood Elementary School, Broome-Tioga BOCES plus Binghamton University and many more.

Since moving to Binghamton, my wife and I have 2 boys and a baby girl, we've bought a house and my plans are to stay right here in the Southern Tier.  I'm doing what I enjoy most...entertaining! Whether on the radio or behind his sound system, this is the job that I was born to do! And isn't that exactly what you want for your next party? A DJ who loves what he's doing!
